"Smile"celebrates the joy that a child feels when they find a safe home where they are loved and cared for. When I painted this live at a No More Orphans Experience" in West Palm Beach, Florida, a friend of mine who was also adopted and has an adopted son attended the event. After I finished painting it, he told me that his son looks exactly like the boy in the painting! This brought my friend so much joy and hope and reminded him of how much he had made a difference in his son's life by adopting him and giving him a home! --Jim McMahel
