When I was three years old, I was given away for adoption. For a long time, that memory carried more pain than peace.
Restored speaks to the hope that rises even when life feels impossible. It’s a reminder that our stories don’t end where they break — that God can still reach us, healing us, and turning loss into something beautiful. Even in this moment of being given away as a child - pictured in the painting - hope and joy still had a way of finding me.
This piece is meant to be a declaration that redemption is real. That no matter how far gone something feels, restoration is always within reach. In the righthand corner, is a silhouette of me with my daughter, a message of how God can redeem any story.
