Israel, My Beloved

Painting this picture in the city of Jerusalem during an October 7 Memorial Event in 2026, was an unforgettable experience, and an honor beyond words. As I painted, I listened to the testimonies of Israeli's who were hostages and survivors of the October 7 massacre in Israel. For a lifetime they will be healing from the terror and grief of that awful day.  The lion is a representation of God. I wanted this painting to remind them they are still God's Beloved, and He is watching over them.  His promises for them as a nation are for their good. I stand with them to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, just as the Bible commands me to do.
