Consecrated and Anointed

We are honored to feature the work of Antonio Santos.

“Consecrated and Anointed” was painted at Shiloh in Israel. It was inspired by 1 Samuel 1 where the barren woman Hannah comes to the tabernacle at Shiloh to pray desperately for a child. She makes a vow to consecrate the child unto the Lord, and she is blessed with a boy named Samuel. This child ends up being anointed as a prophet and anoints King David years later. This anointing doesn’t just fall on anyone. It falls on those who consecrate themselves into the Lord. Be holy as he is holy.
