Blue Cat Fine Art’s Mission in Action: $50,000 Raised for Orphans and Survivors

There are moments as an artist when you feel the weight of purpose, and the No More Foundation's Illuminate Gala was one of those moments for me.

I stood onstage, painting live for an audience, thinking of the orphans, foster children, and survivors of human trafficking who would be impacted by this event. My own journey of being adopted at three years old fuels my desire to create art that brings hope and healing, and I wanted every brushstroke to capture that.

But I never could have anticipated what happened next. When the painting was auctioned, the bids kept rising – finally reaching $50,000. I was overwhelmed and filled with joy, realizing that someone felt inspired to give so generously for this cause. As an orphan myself, it was incredible to witness how art could inspire such compassion and generosity for those who, like me, have experienced the questions and challenges of growing up without a biological family.

This experience was a powerful reminder of why I do what I do. Art can transform lives, and at Blue Cat Fine Art, we’re on a mission to bring hope and healing through every piece. Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Together, we’re painting a brighter future so we see No More Orphans!!
